Michaelmas is ending; soon Lent begins. Next term will see the launch of two themed Notes issues, Eco and Ekphrasis, in collaboration with other societies. Submissions for both are open now.

Eco will be published in collaboration with Cambridge Zero Carbon Society & Cambridge University Wildlife Society. This themed issue will be our second launch of Lent Term, and we’re looking for artwork, essays and creative writing focussed on green issues, wildlife and nature. Feel free to get creative.

Ekphrasis will be our second theme, and one of our biggest launches in collaboration with the organisers of ‘Love After Dark’ – the Fitzwilliam Museum Society. This issue will focus on the relationship between artwork and creativity – we’re looking for creative writing, essays, artwork and also spoken word poets and bands who want to perform on the theme.  The launch will be a special event held within the Fitzwilliam Museum, and will be preceded by a workshop – more details to follow soon.
